A Lifelong Journey

Accidental Poet

Like a raging river

Passion flows to the waiting sea

Fed by the bleeding hearts

Of poets like you and me

We write of life’s highways

Twists and turns of fate and chance

The flip of a lucky coin

Heads or Tails decides a happy dance

As the years pass

And the pages turn

Some dreams come true

And for some still to yearn

From deep inside the heart

Poetry begins with one word

Listen as never listened before

For passion waiting to be heard

Let the poet’s muse flirt

With that of an empty page

The search for inspiration

A lifelong journey to old age

Very good words AP, those words flow onto the page and are there for eternity.
