Ena Whiteraven

Excerpt: "The Purest Generation"

…The stone wall and the canon

Met them with a fearful ROAR!

They blew a kiss and whispered Love –

The canon was no more.

The stone wall raised its thorns

As they silently approached –

To them it was a gateway

And blossoming vines encroached…

Impostors are these archons?

I have no doubt they know

The purest generation,

That their hearts as white as snow.

I'm not too sure if this is the right poetry site for you - here MPS tends to be, and welcome, interactive exchanges between tyro poets in a mostly supportive environment.
Your entry feels very much like a display piece, given there have been no other poems on this site read by you, and no commentary either.

Of course, it is early days and there is still time..........

Thank you for your feedback. You may have noticed I've only just recently joined this site. I don't have a lot of time to devote to surfing online and am still exploring the content of other writers. May I ask, are you one of the moderators of this site? If so, and you think that my content does not fit for some reason, I'll gladly delete my account and explore elsewhere. Thanks.

      • Doggerel Dave

No, not a moderator - I was just expressing a hunch, as I see too many fly-by-nights who pop in exhibit one poem without any context or picture of them as a human being (can't be said of you).and then disappear.

But I repeat: I'm NOT a moderator and have absolutely no power here.

So I'll give you the old routine:
Welcome to MPS (trad greeting) We are an interactive welcoming site ...etc.
