Nothing

Accidental Poet

Of you, this I ask

Try to think of nothing

Can it even be done?

We’re so full of everything

Quite often I’ve been told

That I’m full of it

But that’s another story

Right now I’ll not get into it

But how can it be

The existence of nothing

For even empty space

Certainly must have something

You can’t see air

But you know it’s there

So in the space of nothing

At what do I stare?

    yourself, dear poet
close your eyes, and look inside
it will bring you the serene emptiness you desire
because looking inside, means answering the fears, anxieties and doubts you harbour within
and when you've confronted them, they'll all morph to the background and quietude will reside in their place
giving you that peace of mind you crave..
    will it happen overnight, no!
is it something attainable you can aspire towards, yes!
will the benefits effect you in a positive manner, while
you're striving to achieve your goal, unquestionably!
(I like the introspective theme to your write, but appreciate
that its not demeaning or demanding in tone
merely suggestive and questioning, a wonderful read, thanks for sharing)

Thanks LB, if I close my eyes I'll be bumping into walls and doors, maybe even into Orchi. 🤣

I'm gonna sing it: 'I, I who have nothing!' Nothing to show, that is, after about 6,342 singing lessons. lol.
A path to insanity? Trying to 'see' nothing?! I saw a pink elephant flying though. lol.

Maybe the pink elephant can give you better singing lessons Orchi. 😜

Our minds are always working . There's no way we can we can do nothing. Think nothing .It's the way we were created. I lay at night. Close my eyes . And try to think of nothing But I can't . Very well written A.P . thank you for sharing.

Thanks ep. When going to sleep, I've been trying to imagine myself in a completely bare room with white walls void of any pictures and no furniture. Just me in a empty room, as boring as possible. So far it seems to be working ok, until I slip and a thought sneaks into my mind. Thanks for reading and your compliment.

I think of past loves . Because they are good memories . I hope my dreams are of them. You have a great day my friend.

Thinking of nothing, if you can do it, brings so much relaxation into the mind AP.
