Trapped in Paradise, Forever

TuckerTheApostolic

Beautiful, dreamy, awful, trapped, forever,

My mind sets off on a terrible endeavor,

As terrible as it seems, my cares float away,

Even though it’s the middle of the day!

I’m no longer plagued by the exam due last hour,

Although it’s paradise, my troubles tower,

Will I ever find her? The one?

Along with the rest of my burdens, which weigh over a ton!

I could hold her and it be so surreal,

So surreal that my heart she could steal,

These are my thoughts, what i’m trapped in,

What seems like paradise, eating at me from within,

Forever

  • Comment from author about the poem: Just writing this about my thoughts, some amazing and some kill me. Some tear me down and keep me insecure, others lift me up and give me a feeling of comfort, and they’ll always plague me. It can only be described as “Trapped in Paradise, Forever”
