The Night of 16th November

librawrites

It had just rained
And the night was darker than usual
The breeze got colder and heavier

Stars from up above came on earth
And were shining on the concrete road
The wind was whooshing through the trees

There I was standing on the curb
Wearing a classic purple t-shirt and jeans
Everything was usual until that moment

That moment when you come up to me
The street light lit you up like a Plutonium
Silhouette of Palm leaves fell on a part of your golden face

It was then I truly understood the magic of your eyes
Green just as the oceans in the Maldives
Now I get why girls go crazy for those eyes

Have no recollection of what we talked about
Except you said "Love is in the Air"
It felt like Hermoine had cast Petrificus Totalus on me

Never knew this feeling
But in that moment I wished for it to be true
It was in that split second I realized that I liked you

Just as every good moment
It came to an end too
He said he was reading what's written on my T-shirt

My feelings were rapturous
A bright storm of love was unleased in my heart
That night even Universe danced to my joy by showering Leonids

Things don't always turn out to be as we expect
I still have that t-shirt as a souvenir
Not of you but of the feeling I felt for the first time
No matter what, this is the feeling I'll remember till the end of my life

    'My feelings were rapturous
A bright storm of love was unleased in my heart
That night even Universe danced to my joy by showering Leonids'..
what a cute 'meet greet, scene' you've painted, thank you for sharing
(we all have several cobwebbed souvenirs, of those meaningful chance encounters in our lives)
