Turn

Eugene

Darkness, Darkness, Light is gone.

Truth abandoned for fools gold

In the flesh of wanton lust

Seeking to climb

That slippery slope

Of doom

In a trail of lies

A path of deceipt

Promising so much emptyness

That one can scarce carry the load

To that dark abyss.

Stop, can you not stop?

Turn around, go back

Get off this wide road

Of easy steps going down.

Take the narrow road

The narrow path going up.

The hard climb

To Calvary's cross

Where light shines to glories

Through the door of promise

For you, the Redeemed.

    No background no context do you provide;
It stands alone, a masterpiece, you decide.
There’s no need to bother with other’s work -
That will be one task so easy to shirk.
Nothing about you – moving right along
To yet another site, its call so strong…….?
