Bluets

rebmasters

Behind the sun,
a sudden mountain
was growing into a soft cheek
blushing with the dawn.

In the valley below,
a billion blue petals bloomed,
turning aside
& bowing beatifically
to the mountain's top hat shadow.

Les fleurs bleues étaient belles;
the world turned upside down,
the ground
awash with rippling blossoms
like a fragrant ocean.

In the warmth of the rays,
the mountain’s gaze
swept the bluets
into a single blink;
a gentle drink
of ocean blue.

A soft sigh swept over the scene,
the sky pink & serene;
a lover, patiently waiting,
knowing she won’t be forsaken.
Back into dreams
for the mountain, it seems.

At night the petals lose
their bluish hue,
but it waits there
to be rediscovered
by me & you
