I am a person
With no need of confrontations
While you are a person
Who literally creates them
Now it doesn’t take much
To foresee the situation
Where one subtracting one
Is not a healthy equation
And yet, in my life
My eyes just couldn’t see it
Stars in the sky with love
Held every wrong to be remit
Now standing here, alone
I see how the path was split
But I just cannot help to feel
That it was all worth it
As I take a step back
And look at the whole picture
What is a decade of loss
When there’s so much more that flickers
See I was just a boy
Turned to a man of wicker
And sure you lit the flame
But this pain won’t be the victor
Rising from the ashes
A new creation, birthed
And if there’s one thing that I know
It’s that love holds its worth
Awaken every morning
A heartbeat within the earth
For life never truly ceases
As there’s always more to search
Life is like a novel
And this is just another chapter
Just another turning page
To keep you in capture
Where things can go so well
Straight into disaster
And bring you smack-dab back to joy
Like sheep within a pasture
Talk about a rapture
What can I expect
I once was there and back again
With no time to regret
Knowing joy and sorrow
These things I won’t forget
And if I even had the choice
They still wouldn’t be reset
Because this is my life
Good to the last drop
Always unwinding
And it’s never gonna stop
Just learning as I go
All the things that I’ll adopt
Moments, an experience
That bring me to the top
Standing at the pinnacle
A precipice before me
All senses sent to gravitate
Indwelling in this glory
Life, a thing mysterious
Both calloused and adoring
Continuing eternity
Like chapters in a story

its a privilege!
to read your poetic genius,
thank you! for choosing to share
so Bravely
with such Sincerity, and all gift-wrapped
in that unquestionable eloquence: of worded Artistry!
(I read and learn, dear Poet)
