yellowrose

Green stands whilst the world below her cries

Green stands outside in the grass

she stands outside , quietly and in reflection of the world below her feet

the earthy grounded wide steady soil resting below her

hiding and unseen , kind of

as she stands , apparent in a refreshing reflection of the world below her feet

and the place that likes to hide

the earthy steady soil has no choice

sitting below the green

she has no choice but to sit

unable to rise up and beyond the green world of the grass

she has no choice but to sit

mostly unnoticeable whilst the green grass shines her light

and the steady soil hides and cries

she can’t reveal herself in the same way

not as seen or as noticed

and so the green grass shines her refreshing light

whilst the steady wise soil , she cries

    you have a gift of poetry yellowrose;
    sometimes scared, sometimes alone;
    dealing with fear is not easy...i know;
    but in poetry, we live and love a better life;
    i look forward to sharing our words..x

      Thankyou so much ... I think its difficult to feel in a place where you are almost hiding but unable to move beyond this place . But actually you might want to .

      This is probably about fear in some ways , and light

      I think even if we might be feeling good or ok ... underneath that there might be β€œ some’ fear or some part of us which is feeling sad and confused and even inferior and insecure

      Appreciate the comment

      I’m glad you liked this poem )

      Dear Rose, there is always such emotion in your poems, you are always noticed by me my dear Friend. 🌹

        Thankyou teddy πŸ™‚ I know I am always noticed by you ) there are probably parts of me that find it easier to hide from the world , and the earth is probably a mention of the fear I feel internally sometimes .. Even when I think I might be feeling ok there is probably some underlying fear or insecurity

            That lamp-post is looking forlorn outside. I will bring it indoors tonight!

                'she can’t reveal herself in the same way

                not as seen or as noticed

                and so the green grass shines her refreshing light

                whilst the steady wise soil , she cries '

                So beautiful & so sad. But both the green grass & the 'steady wise soil' are vital & beautiful

                  Thankyou ! πŸ™‚ yes they are both important . I think I was probably thinking about how the earth might feel below the grass ... but then yeah I guess it was related to how sad I feel sometimes and that fear within . The earth may feel stable but she may still be sad , because she doesn’t want to hide anymore

                  Thanks so much , Becky πŸ™‚
