Happiness's home?

A Country Wordsmith

Oh happiness! Where is thy home ?

Everywhere I have looked for.

All hearts filled with despair and gloom

Fighting, striving for more and more.

Do thou dwell in riches and gold,

Or reside in the kingship and powers?

Or art thou found in traditions so old

Or nature's beauty, scent of flowers?

Art thou found in love of a soul

Or beloved's kiss or her soft touch?

Art thou achieved in realising goal

Or in sleeping calmly dreaming much?

Do thou live in rhyming words or a story?

Or in music like birds chirping?

Or do thou please fame and glory?

Please tell me I've been searching.

Today, thou make it clear, forever

How to get hold of thee.

How to let thee go, never

So that merry faces are all that I see.

There is sweetness everywhere if you are just willing to look. Every is the attitude of your mind but we are unable to do that. Because we all want to be sad saying the opposite. We always want to show our problems and sorrows to be greater than others. 🙃
      Nice writing man. 👌

Thanks mate for your comment, all I wanted to say that when there is so much suffering and needy people in the world, and everybody has a duty to be helpful to them and being poets, we should be doing our parts too by raising our voice through poetry.
