ODE to Insanity...
Should Greedy Tigers sup on victims of circumstance
He pondered
Bathed by the light of the moon
Offended
Beholden to the Hubris of droves upon droves of the insecure
That now plague his disillusion
Contemplating the current and glaring fallacy of Humanity
The wryness washed from his lips
Only to quiver and shudder
Auspicious prospect, hope waned
Thoughts turned inward
Sickened, disgusted by stark reality
The Tigers
Perched in their lairs
Drooling
Fangs bared
Steel Razor Claws aching with thirst
Only Suffering could sate
Greed
Greed on their lips
Greed on their minds
Greed in their hearts
Caring not for the decency of dignity
Caring not for their malice inflicted on common sense
Caring not, caring not, caring not...
Caring not but for their personal gain
Dismissing reason with tyranny
Cloaked in a shroud of Righteous Superiority
Dissemination, Dissension applied when needed
Even more so when not
Ultimate goal unclear, speculative to those who fear
Devoid of reason
Devoid the altruistic assumption of authority
Dissonance abounds
Dragons
Suffering
Dragons suffering, forlorn by indignation at best
Whilst Greedy Tigers Bath In The Tears Borne of Dragons Blood
Feasting upon circumstance of the afflicted
Borne of Tigers Coercion
Forlorn, Forlorn
Forlorn yet NIGH forsaken
For Dragons of Lore shall rise above
Rise above the Din of Iniquitous Reverence
Falsely cast by Tigers of Greed
And
Embrace ALL afflicted with NAY discrimination
To reclaim Dignity
Reclaim Common Decency
Reclaim Independence
Our Inalienable Right
Reclaim, Reclaim, Reclaim
For shall we do not
As we stand at the precipice of destruction
Chiming the bell of imminent peril
Begging to be heard
History poised for re-enactment
Shall be the response to the insecure and absurd
Our hearts shall beat no more
Offspring shall play no more
Freedom an illusion
Freedom no more
No more, no more...
The Righteous Superior shall escape Rue
Feign their fate with condescension among those who paid the price
Paid the price for the Righteous Agenda
Price sans sense
Price sans need
Price that demanded ultimate cost
Dystopia achieved
Leaving the Insecure lost in contemplation
Plagued by thought and ponder
If only, if only
If only....
For we are ALL the Afflicted
Malice stricken by opportunistic Tigers of Greed
Are we not worthy
Worthy of Rights
Worthy of Freedom
Worthy of Equality
Worthy
Worthy of Truth
Worthy WE truly be
For WE are the Dragons, Dragons that be
Dragons shall rise
Against coercion and injustice
Fearless Reverence OUR Badge of Honour
Against Greedy Tigers, No more
For we
We are the Dragons of Lore...
And as predawn melded into birth of the morn
Rapture replenished
Replacing the din of plight
His mind touched those words ONCE more
WE, We are the Dragons of Lore
GREEDY Tigers No more...

- Comment from author about the poem: Somewhere in 2019 long before our current state of existence, I wrote down, Should Greedy Tigers sup on Victims of Circumstance Whilst Forlorn Dragons cry rivers of BLOOD... Was not sure what I was going to do with that and then, just recently, Ode to Insanity came to me and the words followed. Good, Bad or Otherwise, it's mine...Hope you enjoyed it...
