Unit of Measure

Michael Anthony

I’ve heard the human soul

weighs 21 grams or so

Not so in my experience!

All those I miss the most

weigh much heavier on me

My mind sees their souls

as impossible to lift some days,

because of the burden of their absence

Heavy lifting - as if 21 grams

were as I imagine it might weigh

in the dark heart of a crushing black hole

Dunno - never weighed a soul meself!
How to do it? Bit like weighing a turkey in its packaging. Then weigh just the packaging, and work out the difference?
I didn't mention it was a live turkey in a cage. It escaped! lol.

That's similar to how I've read they determined the 21 grams thing - measured persons just before and right after their passing. Seems logistically sketchy, LOL!

      Cheers
      Michael
