Life

Escaped Raven

Life...

it passes me by like pages in a book,
never there but never not.
days become weeks
weeks become months
months become years,
never really feeling true

before long, years are gone
still I stand
a voyager to my own story
as the world and its people
keep living
while I slowly dissappear
into my own darkness

then I see a light come towards me
can he see me
No he can't
I look behind
nobody
he's coming to me
Why?

I dont care why,
You should
he can see me
and for that I give my heart
Don't
its just half
its all we've got
even if its all I've got

he became my light in the dark
my guide
my reason to be
he will be our reason to go
so why
why did the do that
was I not enough
no
we were never enough
stop fooling yourself
did you really think they cared
Nobody wants a broken vase
but
we're broken,
we can't be fixed,
don't you remember what they said,

it wasn't my fault
nobody cares about that
they need someone to blame
and their we were
handed to them on a silver plate

i say 'monologue' as it is one body but more than one 'identity'

Loved the write .We can't choose to be broken or fixed and I liked how you mentioned it .Outgrowing some thoughts is sometimes better than to be stuck yet we still hope they'll be different.
