Fay Slimm.

Solutions.

I found this quote inspirational.
"Love's gift cannot be given, it just waits
to be accepted." (Anon.)

The suchness of love's fragrant devotion

lies in ways

its acceptable potion is made.

Being tenderly constant sweetens trust

in each other

without which contentment can fade.

Disbelief  dilutes strength of intentions

and effort

for doubt renders eagerness inactive.

Best motive stales faced with indifference

counting too

costly perfume for tolerance factor.

The keeping of  togetherness-fragrance

lies a lot

in the way scented solutions are made.

    Good write Fay.
The 'like' has gone wonky for your poem - on my screen anyway!

    • Fay Slimm.

Your experience of trying to make love fragrant brought me a big smile Neil - - have tried that myself before and it never seemed to work - glad you liked the metaphor anyway and thanks ever so for your visit and read.

.. One does not have to hit the heart shaped like button to know that these words hold the solution to a question asked untold times around the globe .. However, I have hit it so many times now that am beginning to feel rather guilty ........ Penned with customary Fay Slimm prowess, if you don't mind me just sayin ............ Ah' tis good to be back ma'am .... 🙂 x
