Tune: St Hilda
('O happy band of pilgrims')
1 Peter 1 v.5-9
*********
You are kept by God's power
Through faith, through each hour
Unto salvation ready
In end time revealed [shall] be
Now you may rejoice greatly
Though for season my be
If need be, you are heavy
Many temptations see
It be that your faith, its trial
Be proved here for a while
It more precious than gold, though
That perishes, we know
Though faith endures, and so may
Be found so in that day
Of Christ's return, praiseworthy
Brings Him honour, glory
Christ you have not seen, but you
Although not yet Him view
You believe, rejoice with joy
Unspeakable, no cloy
And it joy full of glory
You receive the end, see
End of your faith, outcome whole
Salvation of your souls

Thanks N.
The faith to have your own faith recognised. Yet it's strange how different faiths are so intolerant of others.
Thanks Paul. I'm intolerant, in the sense I am 'fundamental' at times. But not fanatical, as in 'if you don't agree with my faith, I have to kill you'.
A pleasant and strong poetry…God bless all, let humanity strive and bless all creature with equality in mind…good one Orchi….
Thanks Spill.
