For anyone who is listening

Zombie123

For anyone who is listening,

I’m screaming out in pain,

Anyone who is listening,

I’m hiding my tears in the rain.

I act so tough, I act so strong but can’t you see I need someone to lean on?

I’m slowly drowning, smothered by the weight,

Breaking, counting up all my mistakes.

When things are going right I don’t know what to do,

All alone I sit and get in my head, daydreaming about you.

For anyone who is listening, why can’t you see the pain,?

It’s hiding just under the surface, barely hanging by a thread,

Trying to keep my head above water, when my problems fall like rain,

The cuts of a thousand memories are breaking me apart,

The scars of a thousand little hurts are branded on my heart.

I smile by day, and cry by night,

Why can’t you see I just need some light,

This mask I wear for all to see, is slowly slipping exposing me,

The problems are adding up and I don’t know where to turn,

I just want to set fire to the world, and slowly watch it burn.

For anyone who is listening, why can’t you see the rage?

The misery of injustice and the anger of a broken heart,

The despair of loneliness I carry always,

The burning iciness of feeling constantly unloved.

For anyone who is listening, please save me from myself.
