Heteronormativity

lola

I want to educate people. I want to be heard. I want everyone to feel valued and know their worth.

I want this world to change. I want me to change. I want to grow.                                        I want to stop sucking in my belly because I know it's wrong.                                                     I want this society to change.

I don't want to come out.                              Why is heterosexuality the default?                  It makes me feel like I'm the fault.

I don't want to discuss my value as a woman.                                                                     I don't want to explain and defend the rights of LGBTQ+ people.

I don't want tolerance and acceptance but all of this to be normal.                                         I want education.

I love everything about this, the message your sending and the format, I hear you.. soon everyone will too

Everybody wants recognition, and be damned if they don't get it.
Sometimes I think the message gets lost when neutral gender becomes the sole gender.

this is an amazing poem. why should we have to come out? no one has to come out if they're straight or cis or stuff.
