sacrifice is often broken

Jon Nakapalau

on that wheel that turns

that breaks jagged
upon all that was strewn in indifference

loads that were laid down
by others long gone

burden that becomes legacy
lost but still so heavy

sorrow oblivious to weight
weight obilious to destination

horizon shimmering away.
