My eyes travel around the gym
Following the ball
It’s headed my way
Quick!
I bump it up
Aiming for the setter
My teammate sets,
Another spikes
It’s in!
Yes!
We got a point.
We can do this.
I’m up to serve.
All eyes on me
I ready my hands,
Trying to stop the shaking
The ball goes up
It's over!
But it’s coming back
It’s right there.
So close
Thankfully, my teammate has my back
We’re at match point! So close!
I serve once more,
It’s over again
Suspense
They reach for it
They hit it
It goes out!
Yes!
Our team won!
High fives and hugs all around
We did it.
