I Guess

scebrynski

I guess

I always wondered

Why doesn’t he

Look at me

Steal glances

With a soft, shy smile

In love so deep

I’d always think to myself

Maybe it’s just an old wives tale

But would his pupils even dilate?

I guess

I know now

Why you kept a

Straight face

Face forward

Don’t look down

Eyes turned up

Away from me

I guess

It’s because

Your eyes would

Tell me a story

How you truly feel

You’re not in

Love with me

And maybe

You never will be

Maybe you just loved

The idea of me
