PARIS IN THE RAIN

shadow424

rain releases like

an accordion

crying

onto streets

fond of

puddle reflections

and wind prints

white tree lights

shine like angel eyes

onto glazed cobblestones

and art deco street posts

at the corner

red café tables

with a napkin and a

smudged name

voices step between drops

sheltering under the

direction

of neon’s pointing

to dry floors

and warm seats
