This crisis, that crisis
Take your bloody pick
My unquiet, troubled mind
Is now beginning to itch
The “good old days”
Well, they never existed
Cause we’re often unhappy
Unless everything’s twisted
I turn on the news
For my daily big dose
Of life without light
And existence without hope
Encouraged to be fearful
And reluctant to give
How the hell did I forget
That we were all meant to live
For so much more

- Comment from author about the poem: This is a slight departure from my normal writing, but I feel very strongly that we are all meant to live for more than what the world tries to take from us or tries to impose on each of us. Our situations and circumstances might be very different but I think we can all understand this. Having said that, my desire is that we can all live fearlessly, prevail in hardship, struggling or loss and live completely for SO much more! Hope. Dream. Love. Live life fully. Never give up.

The news is so very negative … I never listen to it . It can just make you anxious I guess and who needs that ?

Have to fly like an eagle in our own direction .... the News is all about people who want power mostly and they don't know how to live, only how to manipulate. Putting most of them on mute renders them impotent. I wonder what they will think about on their deathbeds....
