Did I lose myself or did you lose me ?

do you remember those nights when...

we would drive for hours 

towards the middle of nowhere

listening to your awful music

I would tell you to take it off

and you would repeat

'this is real music'

Do you remember when...

I would hide in your chest

as the thunder roared through

I would sometimes hold you so tight

but never 

never did you say

say that it hurt

but one day that all stopped

we stopped going for those endless drives

huddling together on those rainy day 

We stopped being us 

and your reason

the reason you gave was

I changed 

I changed into someone you didn't recognise

but I don't understand

what did I do wrong
