Beauty

mr.luvrman

When you see me what do you see?

Baby soft skin

Big brown eyes

Hair that flows like a waterfall

soft curvy figure

What if I were to tell you

that its all fake?

baby soft skin turns to leather

big brown eyes

are the result of plastic

hair that takes hours to look just right

caked with products and damaged with heat

soft curvy figure that was only attained by a cut here

a little less there

But it's all okay

with the face of an artificial angel

I'll never be alone

never go unloved

no one will ever leave

well until age starts to show

but when the day comes a little Botox will help

forever persevered in the time of youth

With out the ability to show a single emotion

What is the cost of beauty?

    depends, on your perspective really?
is makeup and plastic surgery, the cause or
    this trending self-abusive, utilisation
    distorting, their purpose at origination?
    Is there anything wrong
with a burn victim, or someone
    aesthetical deformed from birth
to utilise, the available tools in modernity
    in trying to belong
and stand out, a little less?
    I think not. But,
when others utilise those same tools
not out of necessity, but because
    they feel a societal pressure
    to fit-in better
to utilise and accentuate their physical traits
to achieve what they want in life, that's when
we have a problem, I think...
    (thanks for sharing
    a good read)
