Holiday Season

scebrynski

One of my favorite feelings

Will always be

Watching snow fall outside

Snuggling up next to you

Under a warm fuzzy blanket

Fire burning, red hot

Heating the entire house

A soft smell of smoke

Wafting through the air

Watching Hallmark Christmas movies

Then we go to bed

Brush our teeth

Crawl under the covers

You wrap your arms around me

And we fall asleep

You loved the Christmas season

Singing songs and listening to Michael Buble

I know I said I didn’t like Christmas music

But I wish I had listened to it with you

I loved listening to to you sing

If I could do it all over again

I wouldn’t have asked you

To change the station

I wish I had cherished

The holiday season with you

Because now all I can think about

Is the holiday season without you

    yeah, those seemingly minuscule actions
    we harper back to, in the After;
    when we realise their importance
    far - too, late..
    thanks for sharing,
    very relatable
