Tune: Franconia
('Blest are the pure in heart')
Psalm 61 v.1-4 and v.7-8
**********
Hear my prayer, O God, tend
To me, your ears do lend
Unto me, from end of earth I
Call to you, do draw nigh
When overwhelmed my heart
Is, confused in each part
Lead me to you, the rock that be
Higher than I, I see
For you have been shelter
For me, I do concur
And strong tower from enemy
When they would oppress me
I will abide in your
Tabernacle, tent sure
I will trust in over of your
Wings, there safety e'ermore
Grant us truth and mercy
Which may preserve us free
So will we sing praise to your name
Of endless worth and fame

I read your poem's title and thought it was going to be about condoms, but no.....
What actually is a tabernacle?
Oops! Thanks dusk. A tabernacle is a name for a tent really. So I've put two words where one may do in that verse!
I wanna know what a tabernacle is too ................................................. N
Yep, it's a tent really - another name for a tent. You got your tabernacle out for some camping?!
