Life

LimerickPoet

He lay wearily thinking back on his forlorn life, abundant with memories of times past, his wish to change not granted.

Deep in his heart a desire to live again, pushed to implore a second chance, yet denied

He is overcome as he nears the end, knowing what's ahead, measured by all in this life past,

Is it too late, does he have to endure, or will he come to see everything not in his mind

He hopes an prays as he takes his last breath
