As Angels dance across the sky
With roars of thunder rolling by
I chase an eagle as it fly's
With the flash of lightning in our eyes
The clouds turn black as the sky cracks wide
An angel appears by my side
And with a voice so sweet
To me she sings
As I ride beneath her wings
The eagle fly's off towards the sun
The Angel fades
I come undone.

- Comment from author about the poem: I met a girl about two months after my Mom passed,I now know I shouldn\\\'t have dated her,as I think she kept me from mourning my Mom properly,or completely. We were together for almost two years, and then one day I realized a fear was starting to grow inside me. A fear of getting too close to anyone because the closer you are to someone, the more it hurts to lose them. I wrote all but my first poem after we broke up,I most likely would\\\'ve wrote them much sooner if we\\\'d never met. But I\\\'m glad we did,as we decided to continue a friendship, and we\\\'re still friends today, almost twenty years now.this poem is about my Mom and her,but i\\\'v never been able to figure out who\\\'s the Angel and who\\\'s the eagle. She doesn\\\'t know about my poems.P.S. This poem has two alternative endings, one of them quite,..I guess you could say bold, conceited, and egotistical.lol😜
