From the twin rivers valley
To the misty morning meadows
I chase the sun
I left at dawn
Beyond the horizon
I'll search for where it settles
I'm chasing the sun as fast as I can
Its just out of reach from the palm of my hand
From town to town
Blazing in my eyes as it starts to go down
It always gets away no matter all my tries
From these misty morning meadows
I’ll watch it a'rise
With a memory of that twinkle in her eyes
From beneath the sea its rising
Its rays so warm and brightly shining
As one by one they give each cloud its silver lining.
Now with the day a'new i start to chase
Both wind and sun on my back
Not in my face
Now with the day a'new the chase is on
Once again i left at dawn
But I'm much further west now
So a big headstart
As the memories of her sooth the pain in my heart
Yes i'v left it all behind
I’m not turning around
I have made up my mind
Though I leave with a frown
But I do look back for a glance at the skies
And with a tear in my eye
Say my goodbyes
Well once again its getting away
I’m chasing it down
I’ll catch it's last ray
But as it sinks into the horizon
It sets the skies a'blaze
A sight so tranquilizing
it sends my mind to daze
Now upon me dusk has fallen
I have lost it once again
No misty morning meadows this eve
For under a full moon of blood red
I have wandered into the Devils Den.

- Comment from author about the poem: The twin rivers valley is based on a real road named Twynn Rivers Drive,it is located in the north/east end of Toronto/Scarborough ,Ontario, Canada, and does go down into a valley(The Rouge River Valley.) The Misty Morning Meadows is a very peaceful place surrounded by nature i discovered after an all day bike ride westbound from that valley. As i sat there in my tranquility,I wrote this poem while watching the most memorable sunset i'v ever seen. I really did leave at dawn, and when i discovered M.M.M.,it was completely deserted, and I felt if I were to continue the chase the next morning it could only end with me being even more lost than I already was,(not geographically) but emotionally, maybe even spirituality.hence,I really did feel like I had just wandered into the Devils den.
