A Break

nperez23

A break, a break from the harsh realities of life that’s all;
It’s hard, it’s hard to keep up with societies standards of being the perfect child, perfect person, perfect student;
A lie, a lie is the life I’m displaying to the public;
Who am I?
Does it get any harder?
What is this hurt?
What am I allowed to express?
A break, a break from the life that doesn’t allow me to live;
A burden, a burden who doesn’t want to add on to the struggles of another;
The silence, the silence of a voice who is suppressed in the darkness of their heart;
A heart, a heart that is consumed in so much hurt;
A tear, a tear from the overwhelming emotions of a damaged heart;
A tear, a tear for what was unavailable to the life of this broken soul.
