Earth Wind & Fire

Earth Wind & Fire

Earth

Aftershocks are still causing tremors

The main quake tipped the Richter Scale

And now the topography is paralyzed

And bodies are laid out weak and frail

Wind

Wasted and spent we lie here

Our breath slowing to a normal flow

Our hearts still pounding in our chest

Our bodies still basking in the glow

Fire

The air is thick with lingering remnants

Of the passion ignited by our fire

Sharing ourselves completely surrendered

Unselfishly fulfilling the other’s desire
