Busy cities

the_silly_poet

To me, I was all alone,

Empty, searching for happiness,

Desperate to leave what surrounded me,

And find a new place to inhabit.

I traveled through days and nights,

Keeping myself together every day,

The hope and trust curtailed,

Under the emptiness of anguish.

But I walked till the sea stayed,

To find what my purpose was,

Lost in the sky or thrown in the dust,

It was an empty jar with nothingness,

The hunger denied me to fill,

Selfishness led me to sorrow,

The hope was left in vain,

And my emptiness only remained.

A familiar feeling you captured there, fellow writer. Quite well depicted as well. A good read indeed
