My First Love

haleyalexis

His memory

It haunts me

His fake love

Was blinding

His sweet words

Were binding

I love yous

Were I use you

Years ahead I'd think of you

I wish I'd knew

That you'd break me too

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is about a boy, that I loved, he'd leave and then come back to me. He'd say he'd miss me but then would leave when he got what he wanted. Our relationship was bad, I never took any time to feel sad when he left. I wrote this about him and how I feel.

    "I wish I'd knew
    That you break me too."

Strong message, and I think it shows a great deal of growth/maturity. Showing earlier that whoever spoke this is haunted by this. Very nice!
