I WALK THE EARTH

I walk the earth

dreaming 

hoping against hope that this illusory shade will one day fade away

revealing its true splendour

 

I walk the earth

dying

watching each cell shrivel and wane

wondering if this emergence will be the last

Or this

Or this

 

I walk the earth

raging

                    railing at the pointless death of an unlived life

 

I walk the night
