THe WoRth of YoU to SeLf bE TrUE

Sparrow73

Have a clue what "ride or die" is really truly about.  I choose to be Me I live this way with a hell of a lot less doubt. Being true to myself doesn't squander others feelings & it sure don't obtain any real clout, Accepting me for who Iam is easy & shouldn't offend. If it rattles another then they really don't cherish the truest friend, "themselves."  I got my own back it's not a defense mechanism it's a fact. Until u can handle nothing else jus these simple tacts. Then u are nothing but a fake as "jack." Of yourself is where the core lies not thru other's eyes. Who u are is who you'll be. I know this cuz I trust, "Me!" Without "you" u cannot be. Take it from me, yourself, im  the true test of how u handle the rest...before u can call yourself "somebody's friend." U & me til the end. Always reflect & look again & remember who u are to yourself before u claim to another as, "friend."

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this one about five years ago when I started to question and feel as if there were no realness amongst friends and getting really deeply saddened by it, which eventually through a seething of anger turned into a clarity of reasoning. If we can't be true to ourselves and accept who we are completely. Because no one completes us. This is where we fool ourselves and unfortunately fail to see the ripple affect of such unfairness we put on another with this false belief. The confusion is simple, we do not drain another through our inadequacy of... for sake of own feelings of completeness. Nor they through us. We just want to be accepted completely. Thus, I screamed at this to my fellow misfits at the time...lol and said, "Shame on all of us! We cannot possibly love ourselves through one another!" "Have you our OWN damn back first! Before y'all think anyone else should have it for you!" "You can't save face when showing Your Ass!" "Love yourself for the cripes sake!" "Then we'll worry about who the hell cares about who loves, hates, or likes us!" "Go look in the mirror and Ask the rightful owner this Ques.!? "You."
