- Comment from author about the poem: A fine day of bicycling in the Rocky Mountains. There have been much different days in the mountains as well. My son and I were climbing Pikes Peak on a beautiful day when a storm blew in, hail, lightning and the like. On the descent a rainbow appeared at eye level in a canyon. Much like life it seems.

Thanks Laura, glad you enjoyed this one. It has been an absolutely gorgeous fall here in Colorado. Everyone should get out and see nature as much as possible, I believe.
