Escape

James Michael

Sun soothing

Breeze kissing

Soothing tenderly

Kissing sweetly

Mountain rising

River flowing

Rising majestically

Flowing calmly

Wondrous escape

  • Comment from author about the poem: A fine day of bicycling in the Rocky Mountains. There have been much different days in the mountains as well. My son and I were climbing Pikes Peak on a beautiful day when a storm blew in, hail, lightning and the like. On the descent a rainbow appeared at eye level in a canyon. Much like life it seems.

Thanks Laura, glad you enjoyed this one. It has been an absolutely gorgeous fall here in Colorado. Everyone should get out and see nature as much as possible, I believe.

      a wonderful read,
you poetry seems to have captured that oneness with nature, lost: in the moment..
      thanks for sharing

Thank you for commenting L.B. There is a oneness that nature can bring to the soul. There is more to life than our boxes that contain us.
