There's No Comfort In Destiny

Eugene S.

So now here we are
And exactly how far
Is it we have come

Is this the right place
Surely it has to be
I can tell by the angst

Well, we knew, didn't we
Was it not manifested
So very very long ago

But what a path it has been
The whole world traversed
Time thoroughly dispersed

Completely to the wind
But, again, we always knew
Where destiny would send

Loved the openness of your poem. We the readers can fill in so many spaces, all different, but still holding to your poem.
    Great write.
