When I first realized that writing was a camera lens into my world, I dragged that CVS one-use disposable gem with me everywhere.
 
I snapped pictures of birds, of trash cans, of leaves on the sidewalk.
 
Then I realized that the camera was actually a spotlight, and adjusted accordingly.
