Christmas is coming

Jane Walker

It's getting to that time of year

When we'll all get together and have some Christmas cheer

Cards written, presents bought

That special something we have sought

The tree is up and decorated

Food is bought and refrigerated

Lights twinkle, baubles glisten

Christmas songs to which we'll listen

Under the mistletoe couples meet

To grab a quick kiss that's oh so sweet

Kevin the carrot, the man on the moon

Holidays are coming, do Christmas adverts come too soon

Brussel sprouts, cranberry sauce

Stuffing, gravy, pigs in blankets, of course

Crispy roasties, Christmas cake,

Lovely memories we'll all make

Have a great Christmas and a happy new year

Until the 15th of January when we'll see you all here

Merry Christmas everyone ❤️
