Dove In A Cathedral

Garth Rakumakoe

Embarking flight -

chords strum plaintively

at the pond stillness

that is my innermost coo

My rhythmic wings respond gracefully

and time suspends to a standstill

in living mosaic color,

poetry in emerald light

as your eyes meet mine,

warms me tenderly

In my joyful ripple

I am fragile -

mine is a sonic transcendence

in this musical serenity

I am but a dove

You are the Cathedral

and I adore you dearly

So it's a love poem, dear poet, the cathedral symbolizing a person whose beauty of presence overwhelms one, so to say, at whose presence one is eternally in awe, to give a brief descript. Thank you for your kind words, and appreciation.
