Soul and Flame

Charles_newOwner

A campfire in the wilderness-

will crackle till the logs are burnt.

A mother bird-

will protect the eggs she births.

A human-

will perceive the world in set ways.

But none are uncommon,

as fires spark and shout,

the one inside of all will be there,

forever.

The soul if you will,

be there for now,

be there and be still,

for the fire within your soul will be of an ember,

crackle at your heart,

When it starts it will hurt-

but reminded yourself,

that soul is from this spark,

the hurt is the soul and the spark is the flame.

All share this commonality,

and with pain, I regret to say,

we all have a soul too-

Whether it be still or fades,

our flames will continue on.
