Opulent solitude,
how rich it becomes
alone in one’s shadow,
times riches in sum
To revel monastic
o’er sultans and earls,
whose joyous reflection
—your diamonds and pearls
(Dreamsleep: November, 2021)
Rebel In The Shade
Standing hidden off to the side
naked and alone,
his aura too imposing,
his cover all but blown
A target of those dilettantes,
consummate poseurs,
his space they had surrounded
—his legend to procure

Thanks Laura, we all have a new appreciation for ‘being alone.’
verum dicis amicus meus 🙏🏻
Brilliant!
that first stanza, should be memorialised, sculpted
on a wall
in every city, in every language
and maybe even, tattooed
on the surface of the moon!
Thank you, for choosing to share
your poetic Genius, Kurt
I read and try ever-so hard, to learn
my friend
Thanks LB, ever so kind!
Kurt
