With its ups and downs

To get to the end

You'll meet conmen and clowns

 

Life is so crooked

Almost every day

You meet man or woman

Who fell on the way

 

Life is so crooked

It's no big surprise

Many a creature

Is in a disguise

 

Life is so crooked

It's no wonder why

Every moment in time

You'll hear someone sigh

 

Life is so crooked

Could turn left or right

But DON'T GIVE UP HOPE

Life's light remains bright.
