As the sun slowly sinks into the horizon

like molasses in the sky

you turn to look into my eyes'n

see I'm about to cry

But I hold back the tears

with all the strength I can find

as I think of all the years

and what i'v left behind

Now the sun is almost gone

as the moon begins to rise

our hearts entwined as one

a bond of many ties

but my strength begins to weaken

as fears begin to surface

my tears come a'creeep'n

you share in my solace

you make those funny faces,with your big beautiful eyes

you could never seize my smile

all my fear subsides

if only for a while
