Daintily I weep

Petrus Gerardus

The attempts upon my body,

have sorely paved the way

For that unkindly sorrow,

that none but me can slay

I’ll never be so gaudy,

to show the grievous brand

That rendered my eyes hollow

oh, if I knew beforehand

Happily I’ll wallow

Daintily I weep
