Warning

Christina Elizabeth

Beware the figure,
Who welcomes you home
Behind careful masks,
Their tortured souls will roam

Your breathing stops,
As they drew nearer
Behind your reflection,
A crooked grin shall linger

    safety and home
    are concepts that are becoming
    divorced
    with alarming regularity,
    getting to the point, where
    'get home safe'
    is becoming a redundant, saying
needs to be reworded, to something like
'hope you find a safe place
    to call home, tonight'
as a wish, we offer each
    every: night...
(great wording and structing of poem
thought provoking, to say the least,
    thanks for sharing)
