Thirst

AnAlpaca

I'm thirsting; water all around,
Want to drink; get struck down.
A simple drink, all I need,
To water love's seed.
A barrier holds me back,
What secret do I lack?
Weary of the lies and games,
Let me break these chains!
Just one glorious drink,
Take me from the brink.
The abyss calls my name,
"I'll free you," it'll claim.
It could end my thirst,
Its lies? Well versed.
The fountain of love I'm seeking,
Is it fate I'm misreading?
Why do I face denial?
I declare a mistrial!
I thirst, while others are blessed,
In life, I gain no rest.

    Beautifully penned dear poet
I don’t know which drink can quench the thirst
The thirst of curiosity that rests

Very nice response! It's about drinking the wine of love. Wine that everyone else seems to have but I'm denied of it. Thank you for your response!
