Broken Smashed Drunken And Beat

Ameljor

Broken
Smashed
Drunken
And beat
Heaven does not call
God is not saving
Stillness haunts
Voices scream
A canvas painted
An ink quill
Writes forgotten lines
Memorised
Madness creates
Birds cry
Life, such a bore
Heaven does not call
God is not saving
Coldness of streets
Walked with cheats
Glory shared
Foraging the past
Vengeance
Strangers sympathise
Laughter through rotten teeth
Skin course against plastic sheets
Abusing
Using
Sinking deep
Haunting sounds permeate
Stand at the gate
Broken
Smashed
drunken
And beat.

The drug that gets you high, gets you broke, and eventually kills you, now replaced by coke. You can see why the lookers on slowly die with them.
