Memories

James Alexander

What do you do

when memories fade

and the only clear ones

are the failures you made?

What do you do

when you lost your  cheer

over forgotten memories

of friends once dear?

What do you do

when sitting alone

feeling unnoticed

and without a home?

What do you do

when not finding a way

in searching for the

right words to say?

What do you do

when you see a face

but their name is lost

from memories place?

What you do

is grasp the spark

of life and love

that lives in your heart.

Enjoy life in the present

for it's the only reality.

The future is a dream,

the past a faded memory.
