Garden of Love (self-composed song with lyrics)

Gunnar

You are to me,
the wind in the trees.
You are the stars in the sky.

You are to me,
the birds and the bees.
You are my everything.

You and me know,
That love is a garden,
where wonderful things can grow.
If you sow a seed,
of something good, something kind,
tomorrow a new flower blooms.
So be good to me,
I'll be kind to you,
then the garden of love overflows.

You are to me,
the waves on the sea.
You are the sun way up high.

Am I to you,
What you are to me.
You are my destiny.

You and me know,
That love is a garden,
where wonderful things can grow.
If you sow a seed,
of something good, something kind,
tomorrow, a new flower blooms.
So be good to me,
I'll be kind to you,
Then the garden of love overflows.

You are to me,
You are to me,
you are...
every living thing to me.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this song and lyrics for my daughter and we are singing it together. She was only 7 when we recorded to vocals. Be kind and kindness will bloom into a garden of love....thats the lesson from this song.

thank you so much. I became a father at 44 and have raised her alone...she is my special person and not even poetry can decribe the love and change in me since that day I saw her pop out. From a brute to a soppy mess 😉
